Ciprofloxacin Demi Pharm

Ciprofloxacin Demi Pharm is an antimicrobial drug from the group of photoquinolones.

Indications:

Uncomplicated and complicated infections caused by microorganisms sensitive to ciprofloxacin.
Respiratory tract infections – pneumonia middle ear infections (otitis media), especially if these infections are caused by Staphyloccus spp. And gram-negative microorganisms, including Pseudomonas aeruginosa; eye infections; kidney infections and (or) complicated genital infections, including adnexitis, gonorrhea, prostatitis; infections of the abdominal cavity (bacterial infections of the gastrointestinal tract, biliary tract, peritonitis); skin and soft tissue infections; bone and joint infections; sepsis; infections or prevention of infections in immunocompromised patients (patients taking immunosuppressants or patients with neutropenia); selective intestinal disinfection in immunocompromised patients; prevention and treatment of pulmonary anthrax (infection with Bacillus anthracis).
Ciprofloxacin can be used only as an alternative to other antimicrobial drugs for the treatment of the following infectious and inflammatory diseases: acute sinusitis; uncomplicated urinary tract infections.

Contraindications

Hypersensitivity. Simultaneous administration with tizanidine (risk of marked decrease in blood pressure, drowsiness), Pregnancy. lactation period. Children’s age up to 18 years.

Dosage and administration

With mild and moderate infections of the lower respiratory tract: 0.5 g 2 times a day, severe – 0.5 g 3 times. The course of treatment is 7-14 days. In case of acute sinusitis: 0.5 g 2 times a day. The course of treatment is 10 days. In case of mild and moderate infection of the skin and soft tissues: 0.5 g 2 times a day, in severe cases – 0.5 g 3 times.

The course of treatment is 7-14 days. For bone and joint infections (mild and moderate) 0.5 g 2 times a day, severe 0.5 g 3 times. The course of treatment is up to 4-6 weeks. In case of urinary tract infections: 0.5 g 2 times a day, the course of treatment is 7-14 days. In case of chronic bacterial prostatitis: 0.5 g 2 times, the course of treatment is 28 days.

For uncomplicated gonorrhea, 0.5 g once. Infectious diarrhea 0.5 g 2 times a day, the course of treatment is 10 days. In case of complex intra-abdominal infections: 0.5 g every 12 hours for 7-14 days. For the prevention and treatment of the pulmonary form of anthrax: 0.5 g 2 times a day for 60 days.

From 10 mg / kg of body weight twice a day to 15 mg / kg of body weight twice a day, maximum 500 mg per dose.

60 days from confirmation of exposure to Bacillus anthracis.

Other severe infections

20 mg/kg body weight twice a day, maximum 750 mg per dose.
