Flubprofen, 8.75 mg lozenges
Composition
Active ingredient: Flurbiprofen 8.75 mg.
Excipients: mannitol, magnesium stearate, silicon dioxide, sodium saccharin, povidone, lemon, mint and honey flavors.
Flurbiprofen is a nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drug (NSAID) that has
→ anti-inflammatory,
→ analgesic and
→ antipyretic effects.
Mechanism of action
Flurbiprofen inhibits the COX (cyclooxygenase) enzyme, which is involved in the production of prostaglandins, substances that cause pain, inflammation and fever. Due to this, pain and inflammation are reduced.
DEMISEPT contains flurbiprofen.
It is used for the short-term relief of symptoms of sore throat, inflammation and difficulty swallowing in adults and children over 12 years of age.
How to take DEMISEPT
Adults and children over 12 years of age: dissolve one lozenge. Suck slowly without swallowing.
The lozenge should dissolve within 30 minutes.
It can be taken every 3-6 hours if necessary.
Do not take more than 5 lozenges in 24 hours.
Do not use in children under 12 years of age.
Do not take DEMICEPT lozenges if you are allergic to flurbiprofen or any of the other ingredients, have ever had asthma, difficulty breathing, runny nose or rash after taking aspirin or other non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs, have or have had a stomach or intestinal ulcer, have gastrointestinal bleeding or perforation, especially while taking non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs, are taking high doses of aspirin or other non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs, are in the last (3rd) trimester of pregnancy or are breastfeeding, have serious liver, kidney or heart problems.
